About

David Reel is a graduate of Adolfo Camarillo High School and UC Santa Barbara. He’s written two novels in the holding pattern of the literary world and several short stories. One of which, “The Bad Boy Down the Street”, was published in the October 2014 issue of The Wordsmith Journal. He’s been a bee keeper, caregiver for the elderly, and he’s a historian for the city of Camarillo and Ventura County. His first book, Past and Present: Camarillo will be due on bookshelves December 9, 2019. He’s also the host of The David Reel Show, a variety podcast that focuses on local history, local business, sports, non profits, and theatrical satires and parodies. He loves sports, animals, cooking, geography, trivia, and road-trips with his wife. His interests include bantering with his close friends and yelling “Catheter!” real loud in bars just as the music from the band begins to subside.
